Gentle, Individual Care for Your Baby

A baby’s body undergoes significant growth and development during the early months of life. At birth, much of the skeletal system is still developing, with many areas consisting of softer cartilage that gradually changes to bone.

During this stage, these softer structures may be more susceptible to changes in shape due to repetitive pressures and tension patterns. As babies grow, some parents notice preferences for certain positions or movements, areas of tension, or differences in comfort and mobility.

Everyday factors such as the baby’s in utero position during pregnancy, the birth experience, and time spent in repeated resting or feeding positions may all play a role in how a baby moves and settles.

Caring for Your Baby's Development

At our clinic, care for babies is gentle, age-appropriate, and focused on supporting comfort, movement, and general wellbeing.

Our paediatric chiropractor, Ingrid, carries out gentle assessments and uses light techniques tailored specifically for infants. We recognise that for many parents, caring for a new baby can sometimes feel overwhelming, particularly when it comes to feeding, settling or understanding your baby’s needs.

Ingrid works collaboratively with lactation consultants and other healthcare professionals where appropriate, to support families as part of a wider care approach during this early stage of development.

Our priority is always your baby’s wellbeing. If, following an assessment, we feel that chiropractic care is not the most appropriate option, we will explain our reasons, discuss the next best steps with you and, where appropriate, recommend another healthcare professional who may be better placed to support your baby. If needed, we can provide a referral letter to help facilitate this process.

Any recommendations will be based on your baby’s individual needs. We’ll always explain our reasoning and discuss the available options with you so you can make an informed decision.

Parents remain with their baby throughout all appointments.
