Ingrid completed her Masters in Chiropractic in Durban, South Africa in 2006. She then moved to the United Kingdom, gained her UK chiropractic accreditation and has been working in Kent ever since. In 2012 Ingrid qualified as an advanced Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT) practitioner. SOT is a gentle chiropractic treatment technique focused on restoring the balance between the top (skull) and bottom (sacrum) of the spine. Although appropriate for all ages, the gentle nature of SOT treatments led to more babies and children presenting to Blackfen Chiropractic for chiropractic care. This encouraged Ingrid to embark on a Masters in Paediatric Musculoskeletal Health in 2023. As part of her Masters, she recently completed a research study focused on chiropractic care and infants with colic.
Ingrid has a particular interest in supporting skeletal health in babies and children, as she recognises that choices made during early childhood can have lasting effects on bone strength and structure, as well as long term wellbeing. You’ll often see Ingrid with little ones in clinic, but she also enjoys treating people in other age groups who are interested in developing and maintaining healthy functional bodies. She uses a range of treatment techniques and specifically tailors treatment plans to meet the needs of individual patients.
In her free time Ingrid enjoys road running and spending time with her husband, C.T., and 2 children: Callum and Daniella.
‘Chiropractic has made such a difference in my life. Every time I receive treatment, I am reminded of our bodies amazing ability to heal, and sometimes all it needs is a helping hand’.
Ingrid is registered with the General Chiropractic Council (Reg no: 02793), The Royal College of Chiropractors and is a member of the British Chiropractic Association.
